OpenArt 1.2

The "OpenArt – Contemporary Art for All" project was funded by the National Centre for Research and Development under the Social Innovation program.

The primary objective of this initiative is to develop a multimedia guide to contemporary artworks based on universal design principles. By applying these guidelines, the guide aims to be accessible to all museum visitors, regardless of disabilities or language proficiency. The guide consists of videos with subtitles available in Polish and English, as well as Polish Sign Language (PSL) interpretation. Additionally, the descriptions include details on the visual appearance of the artworks, making the guide a valuable resource for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

The project operates on a "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) model, enabling users to access the content via their personal smartphones or tablets. This approach enhances flexibility and convenience for both on-site visitors and those interested in exploring the museum's collection remotely. Overall, the initiative represents an effort to broaden accessibility and inclusivity in cultural experiences through innovative use of technology.
